In the summer of 2021, the launch of the new bottle of Tequila Espolón Cristalino was presented in an event full of culture and music. Ricardo Loco was invited to perform a live mural during the event. He was given the opportunity because the international Tequila Espolón brand was interested in his art style and technique.

The mural is mounted on a base two meters high and four meters long. The technique he used to create this work was the application of acrylic paint with Molotow brand markers of different diameters and fine brushes for detailing. The work took approximately eight hours to complete and received a very good response from the audience.

The design theme was to express the Mexican side of tequila and, above all, the urban and modern side of an important tequila brand such as Tequila Espolón. A reference of Mexican art has been the illustrator José Guadalupe Posada, from whom Tequila Espolón would take inspiration to develop its new image. This is how they turned to Ricardo Loco to design and execute the mural that would be the protagonist of the event. The design proposal that was presented was soon evaluated and approved because it contained the characteristics of technique and expression that identify the brand. Skulls, devils, agave, tequila bottles, a xoloitzcuintle and an imposing rooster were some of the elements that would make up the final composition of the work.
